6th ODI of the seven One-day Internationals will be held at Nagpur tomorrow(Sunday). Icc World champions are leading the series 3-1, ensuring they can’t loose the series now. Icc World twenty20 champions, on the other hand didn’t look too convincing and are fighting to end the series in a draw.
Some verbal chats, and now the alleged racial comments by spectators, almost ruined the series. We saw some reports of verbal chats, and use of abusive language by both the teams against each other. We also saw captains of both Australia and India blaming each other for the use of vulgar language. And now, Australian captain Ricky ponting is willing that ICC must take some action against the racial comments by spectators, targeting Aussie all-rounder Symonds as he was fielding near to the boundary line in the 5th ODI.
“Cricket Australia claimed Symonds was subjected to monkey noises during their one-day win in Vadodara on Friday.”
Aussie opener, Mathew Hayden, is also doubtful for the sixth ODI because of the injury he took in the last match. Hayden played with a runner in the last match after appearing to pull his leg muscle. Hayden had scored plenty of runs in this tour, and his absence in sixth ODI might came off as a good news for Indian team.
Anyways, India are down by two games in the series. And they will have to do some serious business if they are to level the series, as mighty Aussies will be working hard to overpower the Indians.
